This October saw North Kelvin host their first Halloween party in the Maryhill Club. After much debate and feedback from our parents it was decided to go ahead and hold our first ever party at this time of year. With parents instrumental in running the party it was sure to be a great day and this was how it turned out.
We asked that all the kids and parents dress up and for the most part everyone did. We had club coordinator, John Burns, dressed as a Ghostbuster, committee member Joanne White dressed as a scary nun! We also had Witches, Mexican’s, Mad Scientists and club chairman Mark Adams and his partner Pauline Robertson dressed as Donald and Melania Trump plus many more.
With scary prizes for the winners of the party games everyone was taking part and this included some of our big kids i.e. [parents] who were taking the dance off very seriously but was great to see everyone having a good time.
We have to thank everyone who came along to make it such a great day and to Joanne White and Susan Gow for taking the time and effort to make food, arrange party games and keep all the kids big and small entertained over the day.
We hope that this event will stay on the calendar next year as we look to establish it in the calendar.
