North Kelvin Utd are always offering coaching and volunteering opportunities at our football club. Whether you are looking for a new challenge or wanting to take your first steps into coaching, we are looking for you!

NKU are a SFA Quality Mark Development Club, we provide coach education, expenses and full training kit. We can also provide further education for young coaches through our partnership with Youth Scotland.

The club’s ethos is to promote inclusiveness, opportunity and access for all irrespective of background.

Project Assistant (Sessional)

Work Hours

2 Hours Per Week Minimum
Additional hours subject to availability

Rate of Pay

£9 per hour

Responsible To

General Manager

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant professional qualification (desirable).

  • Interest in sports coaching or community education.

  • Youth work or sports coaching experience.

  • Understanding of sports equity.

  • Enhanced PVG clearance.

  • SYFA PVG & First Aid (desirable).

  • Driving Licence.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead sessions on their own where needed.

  • Assist with planning and delivery of North Kelvin Sports community projects.

  • Assist with accurate monitoring and reporting of all community projects.

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lunch clubs, after-school clubs and team training.

  • Commit to in-service training and coaching courses.

  • Abide by and promote sound ethics and club policy, child protection, fair play and equal opportunities to all members.

  • Peripatetic work (travelling to sessions in different venues, ideally with own car).
